Today, we did not go to a mission site, as this is scheduled as a break for all of us. The work at the site is physically and emotionally draining, so much so that we really need a break in the middle of the week to recharge our batteries.

We boarded the bus in the morning and went a bit further up the mountain past the current mission house to see the site where WGO plans on building the new mission house. It will be an awesome view of the city when it is complete.
Then we got to the relaxing part of the day....a one and a half hour drive up the mountain to Rancho Ebenezer. This is where they have the family homes, and the school.
-
Many of us renewed old friendships with Val and Ed and other house parents. Val led us on a tour of the school, and the preschool. Then we had lunch. While we were eating lunch, a thunderstorm rolled in and it rained the rest of the afternoon. Yes believe it....it rained the rest of the day. Praise the Lord, this may take some of the smoke and smog out or the air, and certainly reduce the dust.
-
But with the rain, we had to come back down the mountain on greasy clay roads, and our bus driver did a fantastic job. Because of the rain, we did not go to the Bridge House, as it is still a construction site, and would have been very muddy. We had all had enough mud by this time. A few of us donned our ponchos and walked in the rain and mud to see the new school under construction at the Ranch.

With much passion we counted out more medicine, and packed the truck for our journey tomorrow to a new mission site. We await what the Lord has to show us tomorrow.
